No More Gagging on Tubes

Wendy tried to turn Jordyn down to 1.5 liters today and she tolerated it for a while but then started having really deep DESATS so they bumped her back up again.  Wendy said that half a liter really shouldn't make that much of a difference, but it did to Jordyn.  She is very particular about her settings and will let you know when she wants you to mess with them.

Wendy was really hoping she could get Jordyn lower than a 2 so that she could move her to the smaller cannula and get her feeding tube run through her nose instead of her mouth.  Since Jordyn wouldn't allow that they still decided to try to put the feeding tube through her nose.  When I got there tonight it was already moved and I got to start breastfeeding with her.  She did better than I expected and latched on a couple of times with a few bursts of sucking.  Really good for a preemie!  I'm so glad her tubes are out of her mouth so she doesn't have to gag on them any more!!
