Carousel Ride

Ry finally went to primary all by herself yesterday and for her prize she wanted to ride the carousel at the Provo Towne Center Mall.  Nana came with us and Ben & Becky and then we had lunch at Red Robin afterward.  I'm so glad we are finally making progress with this girl.  I was starting to think she was never going to go by herself.

Big Girl

She finally did it!  She went to all of primary all by herself today!  We are so excited and proud of her!  It's been 4 long months and we're finally seeing some progress!

Quiet Time

I'm trying to hold onto nap time for as long as I can with this girl.  She fights me a little bit but then I just tell her she can have quiet time in her bed and read books because I know she will always fall asleep while reading.

Story of My Life

 This is what our floor looks like after every meal and I am getting real tired of sweeping.

Cardiologist

We had a check-up with the cardiologist today.  The last time we went in a year ago Dr. Hoffman thought he could hear one of their valves still open.  He said it's a common thing for any kid to be born with it open and could have even happened with my other kids but I never knew because we weren't seeing so many specialists with them.  He wasn't at all worried about it and said he would give it until they were 5 for it to close on it's own or if it hadn't by then, he would consider doing surgery.  So today was our follow-up appointment.  He listened and thought everything sounded good but then wanted to do an echo on each of the girls to be sure.  The girls did really well.  They held still and watched a movie and ate a sucker.  It took the tech a while to get all the images he wanted.  After he was done Dr. Hoffman came back in and said everything looked great with both girls and the valves had closed on their own so we didn't need to come back for any other follow-up appointments.  It was so exciting and fun to get this news today.  The girls have been doing so well and this was our last specialist that we were seeing.  Now that we're done with him we only have appointments with our pediatrician.

Croquet

We had a picnic at the park today and tried to feed the ducks but they weren't interested in the bread at all.  The playground was really busy so we headed over to Nana's to play some croquet and hang out all together.  We really enjoying our break from school.

The Best Brothers

Rylee really wanted to have a sleepover with the boys tonight.  I didn't want her to sleep downstairs because our basement gets pretty cold at night and she never stays covered so the boys consented to come up and have a sleepover in her room.  She was so excited!!

Heading Home

Bert got up early today and drove Tiff's car to work.  Mom and Dad got in our van and Tiff grabbed a ride with Ben and Becky.  It was a fun trip and everyone had a great time!

Driving Miss Daisies

The kids spent a lot of time in the pool today and then went to a movie in the afternoon.  Tiff and I watched these 3 while the others went to the movie.  They got a great nap in while we drove around town and picked up some buns and chips for our barbecue at Mary's tonight.

Spring Break Trip

We all loaded up for a Spring Break trip up to Logan.  On the way we stopped by the Hill Air Force Museum in Ogden.

Then we got to Logan and got all checked in the kids wanted to get right into the pool.  The water temperature was pretty cool but that didn't stop any of them.

Afterward we went to Kevin's work and got to see all the baby animals.  It was really cold so we had a temporary daycare in the back of Dave and Erin's car and a few of us adults took turns staying with them so they wouldn't be out in the cold wind.

Jocelyn drove the ranger over to the parking lot to pick up Bert and the little girls so they could have a turn riding the horses.

Even though it was so cold, it was a lot of fun and everyone had a good time.  We finished off the night at the Hu Hot restaurant in town.

I love that the older cousins are so good to spend time with the younger ones.

Baby Gear

I got this swing all cleaned up today and ready to give to Jessica who's going to have a baby in a month.  I'm sure I'll get to a point where it makes me a little sad but right now it feels good to purge all of the baby gear that we've been storing for 10+ years.

Stair Sitting

I found these 3 sitting at the top of the stairs reading books and talking to each other.  I'm grateful they are so close and love to spend time together.
