Busy Day

We had a very busy day with the NICU, soccer games, and helping Mom and Dad clean out their basement to make room for us.  Since we haven't had any luck with our house hunt yet, we are going to move in with them until we find something.  The girls did well with breastfeeding tonight but Jordyn was gagging a lot afterward and that was concerning to me.  We'll just have to keep watching her and make sure she is ok.  Her paralyzed vocal chord makes breastfeeding even harder because she can't close off her airway and could possible asphyxiate on the milk.  I tried pumping about an hour before I went in, instead of pumping for 5-6 minutes right before feeding them.  It seemed like Addi sucked and swallowed a lot so I think I will try a test weight tomorrow and see how much she is getting.  For a test weight, they will weigh the baby right before and then right after the feeding and 1 gram converts to 1 ml exactly.  They have to make sure they don't change anything about the baby in between.  They say it's pretty accurate, so we will see.
