Baby Photos

Bert gave me a jewelry box for my birthday that is also a picture frame. It hangs on the wall and looks like a multi-image frame, but you can open it and store your jewelry inside. I love it! I've been trying to decide what pictures to put in it and thought it would be fun to include some baby shots of the kids; some of my very favorite shots that I took when they were little. I've had so much fun sorting through all the old pictures! I haven't taken the time to look at those in a while and it's fun to remember...

Anyway I found so many that I love and now have to narrow it down to decide what will make the cut. But in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you.

Tate and More Tokens

I babysat my cute nephew yesterday and I had some fun taking pictures of him smiling. I have never been able to get him to smile at me before but he was in a good mood yesterday!! They turned out super cute and there were so many of them. He is adoreable!

We went to Chuck E. Cheese on Monday morning because Jacks earned 20 tokens. He hasn't had any accidents for about 6 days, so he is doing really well. He had a really good time and couldn't get enough. Cooper was acting funny the whole time we were there and was afraid to get in the little rides that they have. It was so weird because I took him about 4 months ago and he loved it then. It started to get busy around noon because of the holiday so we were glad we had gone early and could leave when the crowd came!

So the new incentive to stay clean and dry is....(drumroll) DISNEYLAND!!

I know what you are all thinking!! Is she that desperate for the accidents to stop that she'll take him clear to Disneyland?? And the answer is...definitely! Just kidding. My sister and I have been talking about going to Disneyland for months. We took the boys last February and they loved it and it will be even better this year because they are older and know more movies and characters!! We are going the first week of March and my brother and his wife are going with us! We told the boys about it the other night and I made them a Disneyland chain so they can countdown the days until we go. So Jacks is now earning Mickey tokens to help him buy a fun ball or toy from Disneyland!! He lights up whenever you ask him about it. He is so super excited and so am I!!

Valentine's

My cute boys in their new shirts from their Nana. They are so funny together. They played with their cousin Stephanie tonight while Bert and I went to see New In Town and tried out the new Iggy's Sports Grill. We both liked the movie and we loved the restaurant. Very yummy food!!My sister and her husband brought over some valentines donuts for the boys to eat for breakfast! They loved it!
I'm usually not that into Valentine's Day, but I have enjoyed it this year. My table is full of cookies and candy from neighbors and family. There goes my diet!:)

Tokens

Jacks has been having so many poop accidents lately and it is getting very frustrating. He did so well for the first few weeks after learning, and then he started having these accidents and they are pretty frequent. I would say probably twice a week he forgets to come tell me and just goes in his underwear (and it's always poop). It is getting so, so, so old! So my sister came up with the idea of giving him Chuck E. Cheese tokens when he goes on the potty and taking some of them away when he has an accident. When he gets to 20 he can go to Chuck E. Cheese.
At first he did awesome, he was going to the bathroom all the time. Way more than usual. He was getting pretty good at holding it in and didn't go very often. Now that he has incentive, he wants to go all the time. But he had an accident this afternoon and he really didn't like it that I took back 5 tokens. So....everybody cross your fingers that this is going to work because I am so tired of cleaning poop off his underwear!!!

Change is good!

Bert got a new job up in SLC. He wasn't really out looking for a new job, this one kinda fell in his lap. He has a friend that works at this company and told Bert they were hiring so Bert submitted a resume and they liked him and offered him the job. It's a nice pay increase (which is great for me since I like to spend money) and he will enjoy what he is doing a little bit more than he did at the other job. It takes him about 35 minutes to get to work in the morning when the traffic isn't so bad...I don't like having him come home later at night but it's something I will just have to get used to.

I started babysitting again for my sister. She finished maternity leave and went back to work this last week so I had Tate (who is 2 months) for 2 days this week. I will rotate having Tate one week and Luke the next week. It was different having a baby around. It has been a while since my baby just turned 2!! I wonder if this will make me baby hungry again...or if I will want to wait even longer to have another one!

I've been teaching piano lessons to my niece and nephew since last August. Well in just the last couple of weeks I've had 4 new students sign up. I always said I needed to find a good "mom job" and this is it. It's just for an hour 3 days a week and it is so nice to have that extra spending money (since I love to spend it).

I've made a goal to post more often. I tend to wait until we've done something fun or taken pictures before I post. But I am going to try and do it more! I love to read other peoples blogs and see what they are up to and I get bugged when they don't update very often. (What a hypocrite!!) We'll see how it goes!
