We went over to Grandma Keele's tonight and helped put her tree up and decorate for Christmas.  These girls had a great time getting ornaments out of the box and putting them on the tree.  I'm sure Peggy had a ton she had to move around after we left.

Everyone was able to make it to Thanksgiving this year.  We were quite the crowd.  We got some exciting news just as we were about to start eating.  Casey and Megan called to say they got engaged that morning.

I made a pecan pie for the first time in my life and was so proud of it.  Sara, Ali and I made a pact last Thanksgiving that we would take turns making pecan pie and bringing it because we all love it so much and it's not one that Peggy usually makes.  I was nominated to go first and it was delicious if I do say so myself!

Tiff and I both bought our Christmas trees today.  Then I went with her to her house and helped her put the lights on.

I borrowed Dad's old computer today to see if I could finally get all of our home videos onto the computer and then onto a DVD so we could start watching them and enjoying them.  It's been on my to-do list for a really, really long time and it feels good to finally get it done!

Today was Rylee's first dentist appointment.  Everything checked out and her teeth are all healthy.

Today is the Science Fair and he got his board all done.  His hypothesis was that gloves would help you catch the ball better and the results from all of his experimenting prove the hypothesis to be right.

Lauren bought this cute frame for me a while ago and I finally got it filled today. I saw this quote somewhere and loved it and thought it would be perfect in my frame and sitting on my night stand.

Jacks did a lot of experimenting today catching the football with gloves and without.  He's getting ready for the Science Fair next week.  Cooper and Jude helped out too and Bert was the QB.

I was at Harmon's today and found this ice cream.  Bert and I got ice cream at McConnell's every night when we were in Santa Barbara last month.  This was a weird flavor that I never would have tried except that one of his coworkers was raving about it so I ordered it and loved it!  I'm so glad I found it here in Utah too!

Good thing we spent all that time winterizing the yard yesterday because we got our first snowfall today.

Bert stayed home from work today and we spent the majority of the day out in the yard getting it ready for winter.  We raked leaves, pulled weeds, put away all the outdoor toys and pruned bushes and grape vines. They were really bad and had so many branches shooting off the main trunks.  It seemed like they hadn't been pruned in years.  Fingers crossed I didn't kill them.

When the girls are watching a movie they all 3 will jump up and dance during the song parts.  Tonight Ry wanted a partner and her daddy got up and danced with her.

I signed Ry up for a Princess Dance class and today was her first class.  She was shy at first but then went out and participated and had a blast.

Tonight was Jackson's turn to help make dinner and he wanted to make German Pancakes.  He had to make 2 batches so there would be enough for everybody.  He helped set the table and served his dinner to everybody.  We'll definitely have to make this a new tradition and have the boys help with dinners more often.

Rylee brought home a Gingerbread Man yesterday from school.  I told her I wanted to take a picture of it and she didn't want me to because it might escape and run away while we were taking the picture.

I decided the boys need to start helping more in the kitchen and learning how to make things.  They both sat down with me when I was making my menu/grocery list and decided what they wanted to make.  Tonight was Cooper's turn and he picked Meatloaf, baked potatoes, and corn.  He also helped set the table and serve the dinner.  He was supposed to help with clean-up but had homework and reading to do.  We'll work on that next time.
