Box Car Derby

Tonight for Pack Meeting we had a Box Car Derby.  The kids decorated their box cars and then we had a race track drawn out in the parking lot with 4 pit stops.  They had to change their tires on the first one (take their shoes off and switch their socks), put oil in their car (drink a cup of prune juice), put air in their tires (pump the bike pump 10 times), and get fuel (eat some candy).  The boys had such a good time and I think it was a total success!!

Primary Prizes

I left Rylee alone in her primary class for the last 30 minutes on Sunday.  She cried for a little while but then stopped when they started playing a game and she was so proud of herself when I picked her up after church!  When I told her she could pick a prize for going by herself she wanted to go play in Tiff's classroom. 

Chef Cooper

Cooper really wanted french toast today and he really wanted to help make it.  He did a great job and breakfast was delicious!

River Rock

I knew when we moved into this house that I wasn't going to keep the river rock in the flower beds in the front yard.  I never liked how it looked but last summer we were too busy to worry about it.  Mom and Dad said they could use some of the rocks so we are transporting a bunch today and after we get them all out of the flower beds we will put in some mulch.  It's going to look so good when it's all done!

Weeding

I went out and worked in the yard today for the first time this year.  There's still so much to do.

The girls loved having a picnic outside while I worked!  Yay for warm weather!

Backsplash

Mom and Dad got their backsplash installed today.  They are nearly done with their remodel and it looks so good!

Sticker Chart

We made a chart today for Primary.  I'm hoping it will help her to go by herself if she can put stickers on and earn prizes.  It's been 3 1/2 months and she's still not going by herself.  I really hope this works!

Beaver County

Jacks has been working on his Beaver County report and display board.  He's put in a lot of time typing a 2 page report and getting his board all ready for the County Fair.  He did a great job!

Tessa's Birthday

Shop 'til You Drop

The ladies in the family went up to Fashion Place Mall today and did some shopping.  We had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and then we hit the new Container Store.  It was also fun to walk around and see these monuments built out of Legos throughout the mall.  It's so nice to have a day away from the house and the kids and just worry about myself for a little while!

Ry always wants me to take a picture of her hair when I am done getting her ready so she can see what it looks like.  After she sees the picture she says "I'm beautiful!"

Cousin Time

Today was a fun day at Nana and Papa's house.  The cousins got to play while the adults visited.

Hale Center Theater

Nana and Papa gave the older kids season tickets to the Hale Center Theater's youth season.  Tonight they saw Annie and they all loved it.  Next up is Dr. Dolittle, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and then A Christmas Carol.

Nana's Kitchen

Nana and Papa have been remodeling their kitchen.  Papa took the day off today and he helped entertain Rylee, Addi, and Jordyn so I could help Nana paint.  Dave and Avery came down to help too.  We got it all done and now Nana is deciding whether or not she likes the color.
