Pink Cast
We went to the Sports Medicine Clinic today to get a cast put on Addi. It was horrible! Addi has stranger danger lately and she didn't want anyone touching her. I had to hold her tight on my lap while she screamed and cried and tried to move her arm out of their grasp. The doctor had sent in his two assistants to put it on and it took them forever to get it done. I felt so bad for her and nothing I did made any difference to her. When the doctor came in to check the cast he decided it wasn't good enough and we had to then wait for it to dry completely and then have it sawed off. Then the doctor came back in to do the second cast himself. It went a lot faster with him but Addi was still screaming and crying the whole time. Needless to say, we were very happy to leave and go home!

Broken Arm
We went to a party in Wallsburg yesterday in honor of Mason Sabey coming home from his mission. The party was at their church and Addi was running down the hall and tripped and fell forward. She cried pretty hard which started making me nervous but we eventually got her calmed down. When we woke up this morning we realized that she was babying that arm and was still in pain when she tried to use it so Bert and I took her to the Insta-care to get an x-ray done. She has a buckle fracture on her right wrist. Poor girl has a temporary splint and we will go for a real cast in a day or two.

South Fork
Bert was in Santa Barbara all week but didn't have to go into the office today so we let the boys stay home from school and we grabbed some food and headed up the canyon for a picnic and fun. We had other things planned as well but my tailbone started hurting when I woke up this morning and walking was pretty painful.

Football
Jacks bought a new ball and then wanted to pose for a picture to send to Bert to show it off. Bert's in Santa Barbara this week but we try not to let him miss out on too much while he's gone.

Palmer Family
Pops fell about a month ago and broke his pelvis. He spent a couple weeks in the hospital and then has been in a care center ever since. Mom has been going down a lot to visit him and keep him company. I know she enjoys the visits and the one-on-one time she gets with him during these visits.

Downpour
We had a crazy downpour today while Bert and the boys were gone to soccer games. The street flooded with giant puddles and everything was soaked. Mom & Dad had a flood in their basement and so did our neighbor across the street. We were lucky and just got to watch the water outside.

Wall Decor
I bought these plastic flowers when I was pregnant with Rylee intending to hang them in her nursery. I never got around to it in our old house but finally did it in her new room. I love them!

Follow-up Clinic
Mom and I took the girls to the NICU Follow-up Clinic today. We are usually there for about 4 hours and see about 5 different specialists and doctors but today we only had one. We went to opthamology and the doctor assessed their eyes. There is always a concern with preemies eyes because of how much oxygen they need and that can do damage to their eyes. The doctor said they both look healthy and so far they have perfect eyesight. That was really good to hear and it was great to be out of there in less than an hour.

Weeding
We were busy out in the yard today trying to get rid of some of the weeds. There's always so much to do out there!
