Toy Basket

I love when babies are old enough to sit up at the toy basket and be entertained taking things out one at a time and playing with them.  The trick is keeping Addi on her side because she usually spots something Jordy has and then goes to steal it.

Tired Girl

She really fights me for naptime but still definitely needs one.

Sleep Chart

Rylee used to go to sleep so good and easily but then we moved twice this last year and she started wanting Bert or I to stay in the room with her until she fell asleep.  Sometimes we would be in there with her for an hour which was so frustrating.  During the day, I would put the babies down for a nap at 2 and then I would go sit with Rylee until she fell asleep and maybe get 10 minutes of down time before the babies would be awake again.  But lately the nap schedule has changed and they are not going down until around 3 which would be too late to put Ry down so we needed to figure something out because she still needs her naps!  I made her a chart and Tiff suggested leaving her door open so she didn't feel alone.  I take the babies downstairs so they aren't too loud and so far it's been working.  There are still days where she cries and won't go down but for the most part she's been doing pretty good with it.

When she gets 5 stickers she gets to either go get an ice cream, play with Tiff, or ride one of these cheap rides at Toys R Us.  She gets so excited when she gets 5 and gets to pick something fun to do.

Wolf Badge

Jacks earned his Wolf Badge and a Gold Arrow Point at Pack Meeting tonight.  Dad and Tiff were going to come over to babysit so Bert and I could both go but they both ended up getting sick today.  I stayed home with the babies and Bert took the other kids.

Lace Cards

We all enjoyed playing with Rylee's lace cards today!

Ready To Go

Jordy gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth.  It seems like she'll be crawling any day now!

Last Game

Jacks had his last game today and I was able to go and watch!  He did great and made 8 points!  He's a good little player.  His coach has had Jacks play Pointguard at every game so he has brought the ball down the court.  He's learning to watch for his team mates that are open and pass it to them.  He had quite a few assists during his game too!  It was a good season! 

It was such a nice day today that the older kids all followed Bert outside when he went to take down the Christmas lights.  I decided the babies would enjoy it too so we put on jackets and watched the boys play basketball.  They loved it!  We haven't had too many outside days with these girls so they are going to love the summer!

Read-a-Thon

The boys are doing a Read-a-Thon at school for the month of February.  Jacks' goal is to read 900 minutes and Cooper's is 700 minutes.  They have been doing great so far and are already really close to their goals!

Army Crawl

She started army crawling a few days ago.  She makes her way all over the house now!

Mask

Jacks' stayed home sick today and so he spent most of the day banished to the basement.  Whenever the boys have been sick they have to wear masks when they are around Rylee and the babies to help prevent the germs from spreading.  Thankfully we haven't had very much sickness to deal with!!

Distractions

I put them sitting up and facing each other and they immediately went for the same toy and were passing it back and forth until....

the TV came on and then they forgot all about the toy!

Packed House

Bert texted this picture to me tonight to show me what I was missing out on.  It was Peggy's birthday so almost the whole family went over for dinner and presents.  Terri's family was out of town and of course the babies and I weren't there but everyone else was!  I'm sure she felt very loved!

Basketball

Jacks is finally old enough to be on a city league basketball team and he has been loving it.  He has 8 games and they are always on a Saturday.  Today he got to play against Ethan's team.

Happy Valentine's Day

I thought it would be fun to take a picture of the girls with their Valentine lion that they got in the NICU last year.  They were just 5 days old in these pictures, and so tiny, and look at us now!  The boys enjoyed going through all their Valentine's candy after school and were kind enough to share a little with everyone.  Bert came home early from work and brought my mom and I a shake.  Then, for dinner, I made pink waffles for the kids.  After we had put everyone to bed Bert got some take-out from Goodwood for him and I and we had a little late-night date in our dining room.  It was a perfect day!

Frozen

Having her breakfast downstairs while we watch Frozen.  We got a pirated copy of it from Bert's brother and we pretty much watch it everyday.

Rylee is really into taking pictures and got a hold of my camera while I was doing something else.  I can't tell you how many pictures I have to delete from my phone that Rylee has taken!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

I can't believe we made it to a year.  There were lots of time when I didn't think this day would ever come!  Bert and I reminisced a lot today about this past year and the roller coaster we've been on!  It was definitely the hardest year we've ever been through but we have these 2 beautiful babies because of it and we wouldn't change it for anything!!

Outside Play

It's been a little bit warmer the last few days and the boys are enjoying being outside again!  They invited their friend Jude to come down and play basketball.

Lost Tooth

Coop's lost one of his front teeth at school today!  He was so excited to show me.  He'd been working on that one for a while.
